In the glass, it opens up with juniper berry and cracked peppercorn, layered over a backdrop of toasted cedar and dried herbs. On the palate, lush flavors of raspberry jam and cherry pie filling are framed by soft tannins and supple, rounded texture.

This versatile wine pairs well with a variety of foods like smoked brisket, saucy ribs and creamy brie topped with sun-dried tomato chutney.

Aged for 28 months in 2-year-old American oak

The Bogle family has been farming in the Sacramento River Delta for six generations. The first 20 acres of vines were planted in 1968 near the small farming community of Clarksburg. Today Bogle Vineyards farms over 1,500 acres of wine grapes in the Clarksburg AVA and other select California winegrowing regions including Old Vine Zinfandel from Lodi and Amador and Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir from the cool Monterey and Russian River Valley AVA’s.
