Tasting notes

This Riesling's crispness matches well with the creamy texture and tangy flavors of Key Lime. As each sip, the lively acidity eases into a lingering finish layered with hints of sweet ripe nectarines and honeysuckle. This refreshing and delicate wine complements beautifully with duck breast cooked in a sauce made of Bing cherry, shallots, and port wine.

Production
Terroir

Known for its many and varied microclimates (cool, warm, windy, hilly, flat), Columbia Valley is the umbrella AVA under which many of the state's sub-AVAs fall. While it contains 99% of wine grapes grown in Washington state, 6,851 of its acres are unique to the Columbia Valley and don't overlap another sub-AVA in the state.

Vintage Notes

The 2024 harvest overcame a challenging start with late spring frosts to deliver exceptional quality across varietals. Despite a very hot summer, temperatures moderated during harvest, allowing for gradual ripening and good acid development. The vintage yielded high-quality fruit with vibrant acidity, particularly in higher-elevation sites. White varietals from this vintage show bright aromatics and fresh fruit characteristics.
