Acrobat Pinot Gris 2024

The 2024 Acrobat Pinot Gris is refreshing and approachable, offering flavors of pear, guava, and honeydew melon with a touch of minerality. Bright acidity lifts this medium-bodied wine, imparting energy and length on the finish. 

The 2024 growing season started with a cool, wet spring. A summer heatwave brought higher than average temperatures to the Willamette Valley and led to some variability in fruit set. Mild summer temperatures and low precipitation leading up to harvest gave us a long ripening window, allowing flavors to fully develop. The fruit quality was excellent and the wines are developing beautifully.

In 2024, we used our mobile press unit to press the grapes right after picking, while still in the vineyard. Pressing the fruit immediately preserves freshness and minimize skin contact, reducing the need for fining to remove bitterness from the wine. The wine was fermented in 100% stainless steel at cool temperatures to maintain a pure expression of the fruit. The result is a true hallmark Oregon wine; balanced, layered, and expressive.

Grower relationships are what make Acrobat wines so deliciously consistent each vintage. We are honored to work with such marquee vineyard sites.Each vineyard and AVA have distinct characteristics and provide their own flavor. This diverse geographical selection was done by design, giving Acrobat wines a balanced flavor profile of the state of Oregon.
