Top Rated New World Riesling: A Fusion of Old World Tradition and New World Style

Eroica Riesling is a special partnership between Germany's Dr. Loosen and Washington's Chateau Ste. Michelle. Made in an off-dry style, Eroica is a fusion of Old World winemaking tradition and the Columbia Valley's highest quality Riesling grapes. In order to protect flavor intensity, these grapes are harvested only at night when the vineyards are cool. The result is a wine that reflects not only its varietal and site, but also its heritage: bold and forward from its Washington roots, elegant and sinewy from its German inspiration. Eroica is named for Beethoven's Third Symphony - truly a concert of Old World and New World Riesling. From the first vintage in 1999, Eroica has been Wine Spectator magazine's highest rated American Riesling, and has been selected to their coveted 'Top 100 Wines of the World' list for five consecutive years. Eroica is a limited production wine - less than 100 cases are made available for the Japanese market each year.
