From this Winery
Explosive nose of vanilla crème brûlée and stovetop-reduced dark cherry, red currant, and blueberry compote. Very subtle hints of cocoa, anise, buttered toast, and kalamata olive. I’m absolutely enamored with the nose on this wine. On the palate the cocoa becomes more pronounced and thicker with ripe but fresh fruit. The generous mid-palate is full and plush with soft, integrated, tannins and a lovely lingering finish.
Rich ruby to the rim. Stunning and complex nose of roses, worn leather, ripe cranberry, and brambles, with captivating accents of cocoa and sandalwood. Very densely structured ripe fruit and baking chocolate on the palate, with deliciously soft tannin and a crisp, lingering finish. At this point in its early youth, this could quite possibly be our finest Sangiovese.
Deep garnet color to the rim of the glass. The nose is an exotic array of red fruits, fresh blackberry, dried oregano, crushed rose petals, and fir bough. Long and lithe on the palate, full-bodied with a masculine edge of tannin, and a gorgeous string of refreshing acidity. Figgins Estate Vineyard is a later-ripening site, and this wine clearly benefited from the softening rains we had late in the 2019 growing season.
The 2021 vintage provided incredibly concentrated, superb wines with smaller-than-normal yields. This extraordinary Merlot is dark ruby in color. The nose boasts vine-ripened boysenberry, huckleberry, and black raspberry backed by alluring background notes of baking spices, dark chocolate, and caramel. This hedonist’s delight takes the palate on a journey with bright, refreshing fruit, a seamless, silky mid-palate, fine-grained tannin structure, and a rich and lengthy finish. This vintage perfectly illustrates why Merlot’s favorite terroir in the world, outside of Pomerol, is the Walla Walla Valley. This stunning Merlot is one not to be missed!
Very dark crimson to the rim of the glass. Explosive nose of baking spices, rising sourdough, honey, plum flower, and ripe plum fruit. Viscous and creamy on the palate, with notes of red currant and fresh herbs. The beautiful structure has full-bodied, fine-grained tannins and a long, luscious, and intense finish.
Inky plum in color. Brooding nose of Cuban cigar, sage, warm baking spices, grilled mushroom, ripe mountain fruits, and rose petals. Incredible palate of silky tannin and a core of bright acidity, with palate-enveloping notes of ripe berry pie and crème brûlée. The finish is spectacularly long and developed.
