Figgins Estate Vineyard is the highest elevation Bordeaux variety vineyard in the Walla Walla Valley. Our position up Mill Creek lends itself to ideal autumn ripening, even in especially warm years like 2015.
This vintage was the earliest harvest in our history, but retained a delicious balance between acidity and tannin due in part to the high elevation. The 2015 Estate Red is among the most compelling I have had a hand in making in my 21 professional vintages at Leonetti and FIGGINS.
This wine is what I imagined our exceptional site to be capable of producing when I bought the land and designed the vineyard over 15 years ago. Rich in color, the wine entices you with an intoxicating nose of baking spices, cherry compote, wild roses, cassis and caramel apple. Layer upon layer of perfectly ripe red and black fruits and silky tannin engage the palate. I have not been this excited about a FIGGINS release since my inaugural vintage in 2008!

Leonetti Cellar was founded by Gary and Nancy Figgins more than 35 years ago. Today, second generation winemaker Chris Figgins continues to produce wines of uncompromising quality that have gained a cult-like following among wine lovers. While continuing to raise the bar for Leonetti Cellar - which has endured for decades as one of the most sought after American wines in the world - Chris is now also bottling small, select lots under his Figgins label. The Figgins family maintains total control over quality and the cultivation process from start to finish - allowing each sip to reflect the deep sense of place and connection to the land that provides their inspiration.
