Redhook Beer

The Redhook Ale Brewery was established in Seattle, Washington in 1981. As one of the first microbreweries in America to make consistently high quality ales in commercial quantities, Redhook quickly became one of the driving forces behind the microbrew boom that swept America in the 1980's. Today, Redhook is one of the top selling national microbrew brands in America.

Redhook Brewery

Redhook produces high quality top-fermented traditional ales. All Redhook products are brewed in accordance with the 1516 German Purity Law which requires beer to be made from just four ingredients: malted barley, hops, yeast and water. Because all Redhook ales are sold fresh and unpasteurized, refrigeration is recommended to ensure freshness. World-class beers taste best when they are fresh, so Redhook ales all carry a freshness date to ensure that they are consumed when the flavor and character are at their peak.

Redhook ESB, the company's flagship ale, is a full-bodied amber ale with a toasted malt flavor and pleasant finishing sweetness modeled after the premium Extra Special Bitters found in English pubs. Redhook India Pale Ale (Ballard Bitter) is an aggressively hopped ale with a dry, crisp finish and a delicious thirst-quencher. Redhook also produces several limited production seasonal beers, including Blonde Ale (summer) and Winterhook (winter).

Orca International is the exclusive distributor for Redhook ales in Japan. You can purchase Redhook ESB, IPA, and Porter year round and seasonal ales (Blonde Ale - summer, Winterhook - winter) direct from Orca by the case.
