Originally from a northern Californian family that made its own wine every year, proprietor and winemaker Charles Smith managed rock and roll bands in Europe for 11 years before moving to Walla Walla and starting his own winery. Charles bottles his brands under three separate labels. The entry level offering is the Magnificent Wine Company's House Wine series. Pure and simple, these are wines that everybody can enjoy that always deliver Magnificent value for money. The Charles Smith Wines series is made for the way that most wines are being consumed today - the day that they are purchased. From a drink-now approachability to easy screw cap closures and irreverent packaging, these are wines for the Modernist. Charles also produces some of the most interesting and highly rated Syrahs in America under his original K Vintners label. K Vintners' wines are made in very small quantities and are crafted to appeal to the most discriminating Connoisseurs.
